Tension Headaches

Tension headaches are the most common type of headache accounting for 90% of headache complaints (1).

They are caused by mechanical factors such as tight head, neck or eye muscles and restricted neck joints. These factors can be relieved by professional hands on treatment offered at The Preston Park Osteopathy Clinic. Advice is also offered to try and prevent recurrent headaches from occurring. This will include a whole spinal and postural assessment and activity advice.

If you are suffering with recurrent headaches it’s important to stay active and hydrated. It may also be worth having an optician check your eyesight. If you are a regular computer user you may need an optician to check your mid-distance visual acuity.
